The Inland Empire Labor-Management Cooperation Committee (IELMCC) conducted an award competition for outstanding projects completed in the years 2017 and/or 2018.

The awards were presented at the June 8, 2019 Electrical Industry Awards and Apprenticeship Graduation Banquet.

The 2019 award winners are:

Morrow Meadows – Soboba Hotel & Casino

Project Description: New 534,000 square foot casino hotel with and attached events center.
Project Electrical contract at completion $22,500,000.00
Project consists of the following: Casino with the following amenities: (4) Restaurant food Court, cafe overlooking the pool and neighboring golf course, upscale dining restaurant, cabaret concert bar, casino feature bar, high limit gaming area, event center for banquets and conventions, 6 story 200 room hotel with views of the San Jacinto Valley the pool and the neighboring golf course. Facility also includes a large “Back of House which will support the business operations, staff and a large kitchen which will facilitate the employee cafeteria and the hotel room service. The facility is located on a 33 acre site with (2) feature entrances decorative lighting and fountains at both the Hotel and casino entrances.
Project was constructed between October 2017 and January of 2019 with substantial completion being in December of 2018.

(2) 4000A 480V Utility Main Switchboards, (1) 1600A 480V Utility Fire Pump Switchboard, (2) 1500kW Emergency Diesel Engine Generators, 5000A 480V Paralleling Switchgear, (13) Automatic Transfer Switches (400A-1200A) feeding Critical, Life Safety, Equipment, Fire Pump and Normal Power systems for 100% back-up power to the facility.

Morrow-Meadows – WRCRWA 14 MGD Plant Expansion Project

Project Description: Work included Modernization of an existing waste water treatment plant and a new 14 MGD treatment plant addition. A complete upgrade of power distribution and control and instrumentation systems were part of this difficult project. Project was completed in January 2018. Electrical and instrumentation contract value $6,500,000.00 and required 30,000 man hours to complete.
